Hoffman Voice Studio Policies

The return on your investment of money, time, and effort is valuable. You will enjoy this process, achieve lasting results, and build solid self-confidence when you attend lessons every week, arrive on time, make progress between lessons, stay healthy, etc. Please carefully read these policies designed to ensure the highest return on your investment:

  • Feel free to contact me via phone, email, or text message; I will respond within 24 hours.
  • When I contact you, I very much appreciate response from you within 24 hours.
Attendance & Preparedness
  • If you are 10 or more minutes late for your lesson, you are considered absent, and the lesson will not be rescheduled.
  • Allow plenty of time between your activities prior to the lesson and the lesson itself.
  • If I am late for your lesson, you must wait at least 10 minutes and you must leave me a note to document your attendance; in the rare event that I do not arrive within 10 minutes, I will reschedule the lesson as long as you leave me a note to document your attendance.
  • An absence may be rescheduled when you notify me at least 24-hours in advance of the absence.
  • A maximum of one rescheduled absence within twelve weeks is allowed.
  • If your schedule changes and you need to move the time and/or day we meet, I will do my best to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee that a schedule change is possible.
  • Be prepared for every lesson. Examples of what to prepare (we will work on all of these - and more!):
consonant energy
dynamic variation
expressive freedom
health and well-being
melodic accuracy

mental focus
paper and pencil
range transitions

recording device
repertoire binder
rhythmic accuracy

tone clarity

  • Do not attend your lesson if your illness may be contagious; if you are contagious and you attend a lesson, I will respectfully and kindly ask you to return home or go to the doctor, and the lesson will not be rescheduled.
  • You are responsible for the proper care of your entire being: body, soul, mind, emotion...all of which are the singer’s instrument.
